It is advisable to carefully select the hotel and refer to the fact sheets provided. DeGoa.com will not be liable if the hotel selected is not as per the client's expectations in terms of quality, amenities, location etc. A the fact sheet describes details like the location of the hotels, amenities and facilities offered by the hotel. DeGoa.com generally updates all these fact sheets however it is dependent on the hotel to provide updated information. Also the information shown for some hotels is sourced through our supplier's online systems. Renovation at hotels is normally undertaken at sole discretion of hotels and not necessarily informed to us. Incase of any dispute DeGoa.com shall not be liable for discrepancy in information.
The Company recommends that not more than 3 persons share a double room, as a triple room is normally of the same size as a double room. In case of a triple room, the third bed is a rollaway bed or cot.
Single (1 guest): A room with bed designed for one person
Twin for sole use (1 guest): A room for 1 single person but with two single beds
Double for sole use (1 guest): A room for 1 single person but with a double bed
Twin (2 guests): A room designed for two people with two single beds
Double (2 guests): A room designed for two people with a double bed
Triple (3 guests): A room Designed for Three people with three single beds Or one double and one single bed OR one double bed with a rollaway bed or cot
Quad (4 guests): A room designed for 4 people
Although we display the pricing for twin as well as double rooms, please note that we cannot guarantee the availability of twin or double beds since the same is subject to availability. Hotels generally have few twin bedded rooms and may not be able to confirm the twin bed request if these is already sold out. The same applies for request of double rooms where occasionally the hotels in certain cities may confirm a twin room due to non availability of double rooms. If the above is known to us well in advance we will intimate the client. But many a times the hotels may assign the rooms only at the time of check in. A DeGoa.com will not be liable for non availability of twin/ double beds as we have no control over the same.
A child traveling with parents and sharing parents bed, would not be entitled to a separate bed in the hotel. In case 'with bed' charge has been paid for the child and the Client decides not to avail such facility whilst on tour, he would not be entitled to any refund. In case the Client decides to seek extra bed for the child booked on 'without bed' basis on the tour subject to availability, then he shall be bound to pay additional amount charged by the concerned hotel directly.
We specify the meals if included in the price. Buffet Breakfast is served at fixed hours in the morning, generally between 0730 hours - 1000 hours. Breakfast is served at a designated area in the hotel. Any requirement beyond the hours of operation would be subject to additional charge.
European plan (EP): Room only basis. No meals included.
American plan (AP): Includes three meals a day. Also referred to as 'Full-Board'.
Modified American plan (MAP): Includes two meals per day i.e. Breakfast & Dinner or Breakfast & Lunch. Also referred to as 'Half Board'.
Bed and Breakfast (B&B): Room and Breakfast included.
American Breakfast: Variety of eggs, sausages, potatoes , cold cuts, porridge, corn flakes, bread, baked beans, yogurt and fruits. Juices, along with coffee, tea, milk.
Continental Breakfast: Includes coffee, tea and juice, toast, rolls and pastry, and perhaps fruit.
English Breakfast: Full breakfast of cereal, bacon, sausages, eggs, toast, juice, tea and coffee.
A la carte: A menu in which each item is priced and charged separately.
Meals served at the Hotels will be as per the individual Hotel's Menu. The Company, however, reserves the right to change the meal arrangement, if circumstances make it necessary to do so. The Company cannot guarantee a special meal / diet for the Client. If the Client misses or refrains from availing any meal arranged by the Company due to his own reasons, there would be no refund.
Where client makes a request in writing at the time of booking for a special meal / diet, company would make an effort for the same. However, the Company shall not be held liable if the same is not provided.
Clients are required to pay extra costs for any special requests that are required. The Hotel price offered by DeGoa.com specifically includes the room cost, with or without breakfast/ meals which is specified and is inclusive of room taxes only.
Early Check in and Late check-out requests: The client needs to request the hotel directly for early check in / late check out request. The same is at the discretion of the hotels and is subject to room availability. The clients may need to pay for the same directly to the hotel as per the hotel's policy.
Clients need to pay the hotel directly for utilizing all such amenities / services like usage of Mini bars, Paid Television Channels, Telephones, Room Service, Laundry etc.
In the event of any Force Majeure, DeGoa.com /Hotels/our associate suppliers shall not be responsible and / or liable for any damages or claim either by you/your Company or any 2nd or 3rd Party. We request you to indemnify DeGoa.com /Hotel/Our associate Suppliers against the same.
The Company shall, in no circumstances whatsoever be liable to the Client in case of any loss of life, limb or property, sickness, delay, discomfort, additional expenses incurred by the Client, consequential loss and/or damage or any kind suffered by client howsoever caused arising out of any act, omission, default of any Independent Contractor or by any servant or agent employed by the Independent Contractor or third person who may be engaged or concerned in the provision of accommodation, meals, transportation, entertainment, refreshment, denial of entry to any place of worship, or any other service comprising the tour package.
In any case, no liability on the part of the Company arising in any way out of this contract in respect of any hotel booking, tour, holiday, excursion , facility shall exceed the total amount paid for the tour holiday, and shall in no case include any consequential loss or additional expense whatsoever.
The immunities provided under this contract to the company shall be available to the Company's Managers, including Tour Managers, Employees, Servants and Agents but not to the Independent Contractors selected by the Company.
DeGoa.com is acting, as a Booking Agent and does not own any Hotels, Transport and other service providers. In no circumstances, DeGoa.com shall hold any responsibility for the aspect of the arrangements provided by the service providers.
DeGoa.com shall not be liable for the damages or losses that may result from Travel to destinations being offered on the website.
CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT TIME:
Standard check in time is 1400 hours and standard checkout time is 12 Noon. The same may differ for certain hotels. All early check in and late check out requests has to be handled by the clients directly with the hotels. These requests are at the discretion of the hotels and are always subject to availability. The charges towards the same need to be paid by the clients as per the hotel's policy.
VALIDITY OF THE RATES & SERVICES:
The rates mentioned are valid only for the mentioned period. The rates are subject to change without any notice.
All the bookings are NON TRANSFERABLE to the family members/friends/colleagues in case you change/cancel your travel plans due to any reason. Fresh booking will be done in case your family member/friends/colleagues wish to travel on that particular day/period.
There is a compulsory dinner supplement during Christmas/New Year period and during trade fairs and special events as per various Hotel Policy at various cities. The same will be applicable to you and will be advised to you at the time of booking.
In case of non-availability of required booking, the entire advance amount will be refunded.
In case of cancellation of booking, DeGoa.com shall refund part or whole of the advance money collected from the User as per the policy stated herein. You, the User, acknowledge and agree to abide by these terms and policies. The refund terms vary depending on the service used (e.g. hotel room, hotel package, special package, airline tickets, railway tickets, bus tickets, taxi booking etc) as well as the season of booking (for hotels) and the number of lead days.
For Indian Residents, a service fee of Rs. 350 will be charged for all bookings cancelled or amended after confirmation, over and above the supplier cancellation charges if and as applicable.
For Foreign Nationals, a service fee of USD 15 will be charged for all bookings cancelled or amended after confirmation, over and above the supplier cancellation charges if and as applicable.
Generally 1 night retention charges are applicable for bookings cancelled within 7 days of check in.
However the same varies for various destinations, seasons and as per the hotel and supplier policies.
Any cancellations during trade fairs and peak periods will attract cancellation charges once the booking is confirmed. These cancellation charges will vary and may attract upto 100% of the entire accommodation cost.
